In programming and software design, a bingding is an application programming interface (API) that provides glue code specifically made to allow a programming language to use a foreign library or operating system service (one that is not native to that language).
In computer programming, glue code is executable code (often source code) that serves solely to “adapt” different parts of code that would otherwise be incompatible.
Glue code does not contribte any functionality towards meeting program requirements.
